Electrical work is not something we take on right now
P3 Mechanical & Electrical does not take on electrical work at the moment: that side of the business is not operational yet, and there is no licensed electrical technician on staff. What our crews do cover, across Nanaimo and central Vancouver Island, is the mechanical half of the name — heating, cooling and ventilation, plumbing and drains, and fire protection.
Where this stands
The registered name is P3 Mechanical & Electrical Ltd., and the electrical half of it is a plan rather than a department: the licence that side of the business needs is not in place. Until it is, that means no wiring, no panel work, no EV chargers, and no electrical inspections — not as a favour, not as a small job, not as an extra on the end of something else.
The mechanical side is the working business, and it is most of what people call about anyway. Heat pumps, furnaces, boilers, and fireplaces; ductwork, ventilation, and indoor air quality; water heaters, drains, sewer lines, repipes, and fixtures; commercial fire protection and building maintenance. If the job you have is electrical, what you want is a contractor licensed for it. Technical Safety BC licenses electrical contractors in this province, and its site is where one can be checked. Beyond swapping a fixture or a device, the work also needs a permit and a final inspection — filing for both is the contractor’s job, not the homeowner’s, and anyone who tells you otherwise on a panel or service upgrade has told you something useful about themselves.

Then why does the company name say Electrical?
Because P3 Mechanical & Electrical Ltd. is the registered name of the company, and the electrical side is meant to become part of it. It is not running yet, and we would rather explain the name here than let it imply a service that does not exist.
What does P3 take on, then?
The mechanical trades: heating and cooling, ventilation and indoor air quality, plumbing, drains and sewers, water heaters, and commercial fire protection, for homes and light commercial buildings from Ladysmith to Courtenay. Each of those has its own page on this site with the detail on it.
